I attended Coast Busters in Auckland and then attended International Kayak week.They were both informative,inspiring,fun and enjoyable
I also gave a talk on my Antarctic adventure with Andrew Mcauley and Stuart Trueman a few years ago.
Notable speakers were Paul Caffyn and Conrad Edwards who spoke on their recent Greenland expedition.This was an exceptional trip by these two as they paddled in an extremely harsh environment in cold and strong winds.I admired the delivery style of Paul's talk.
There were guest speakers from Australia,USA,New Zealand and the topics were varied
One of my highlights of the week was getting to paddle with the Tsumania Ranger's Eric Soares (Commodore ) and Jim Kakuk (Captain)in some rough stuff.
These two were outstanding at delivering there talk and were great fun to be around.If you haven't see what these guys are famous for check this out
There is also the possibility that I will be building there unique style "splash deck" sea kayak,The only true play boat around ,designed and made to their specs
